What is self-employed Income Protection Insurance?

Income protection insurance is designed to provide a regular income if you are unable to work due to illness or injury. This is particularly important if you’re self-employed as there’s no sick pay for the self-employed, as you don’t have an employer, and you won’t be entitled to statutory sick pay (SSP) from the government.

Income protection insurance ensures that you can keep your standard of living and meet your financial obligations even when you’re not able to work. You can’t afford not to have sickness cover for the self-employed.
